Bitch Slap Cosmetics

A lot of my viewers get a little intimidated by the bold and bright colors that Bitch Slap carries. Yes the colors are awesomely bright and most of the looks you seen done with the line are dramatic and crazy. BUT, you can definitely tone down the looks for those of you who like natural everyday wear. And just to show you guys that, I've done two looks to show you that it doesn't have to be bold and bright with this line. The 1st picture below is of a quick and simple fall look with the newest pigments and paintwheel from Bitch Slap Cosmetics. The 2nd picture below is a quick and simple smokey eye using another new pigment and the Evil Bitch Paintwheel.See .. we don't have to look like drag queens with this line (though I absolutely love drag makeup .. the fellas are just so gorgeous!!!)

I used Bitch Slap's Concealer as a base for all Swatches. Let's check out the eyeshadows!

Deadliest Bitch on Earth by Nikki $20
This paintwheel comes with a gorgeous purplish/blue, a dark teal, a very light pastel teal, and a bright red with gold specks. The glitter specks isn't too overwhelming and can be blended out really easily. I LOVE THIS NEW PAINTHWEEL .. just as I love the other ones. Just a side note .. if you do not like the new logo (the middle finger one) the original logos with the leopard print background is still available. When purchasing you can choose which logo you would like on the compact. Time for the pigments .. they're awesome just like the other ones are. If you have never tried out Bitch Slap's Pigments .. you need to get your hands on them. They are super super pigmented .. i'm talking MAC quality pigmented! Each pigment sells for $14 each. Swatches on top were applied wet with MAC Fix+, swatches on bottom were applied dry on top of Bitch Slap's Concealer.

Fuck You Bitch Pigment
This is such a gorgeous and light shimmery gold. This pigment is super super silky and light on the lids. It is a must have for those of you who love golds. This pigment comes in the new black jars.Stingy Bitch Pigment
A beautiful shimmery red. This red isn't too overpowering. It can be easily blended out. Also it looks great on the lips when mixed with a clear lipglos .. i love mixing my pigments to make a gloss. This pigment looks great with the Fuck You Bitch Pigment. Quiet Storm Pigment
This is such a gorgeous metallic silver. All I can say about this pigment is "Bayam!". It is off the hook. I used it on my lid in the Smokey Eye Photo above. This one also comes in the new black jars. And this one feels super silky and light too.You all already know that I love me some Bitch Slap. If you are intimidated to buy some .. don't be .. get some now and beat that pretty face of yours! (I don't mean that literally .. it's a makeup term which means to put makeup on .. lmao)

Mineral Silk

I've tried many mineral companies. I have came across some good ones, some okay ones, and some bad ones. But I've recently tried out an awesome one! Mineral Silk Mineral Makeup.

The setup on the site is a little confusing because there's so many links to choose from, but after messing around with it you'll know your way around.

I had the opportunity to try out a whole bunch of their mineral sample packs. They give you a lot of product in their samples, enough to last you a couple months if you use it on a daily basis. All samples come in a cute square jar. I'm loving it!!! Urban Decay Primer Potion was used as a base for ALL swatches.

Sample Pack of Foundation for Medium Skintones $5.97
As you can see, you receive 7 different shades that could possibly be your skin tone. I like being able to mess around with different shades. In the winter I tend to be lighter than I am in the summer, so I like having two different foundations. I love mixing foundations to find my right skin tone. Radiance ended up being my foundation color right now. My skintone might be a little lighter when December hits. Note: these foundations do look a little different after blended and buffed onto the face.
Sample Pack of Concealers for All Skin Tones $5.97
You receive 5 different concealers with this pack. And they're definitely all the colors you could ever need to get rid of any kind of blemishes. I liked Brighten Up and The Eraser the best. Bye Bye Under Eyes made my dark circles fade, but not completely covered them. I then covered it with Brighten up and the grey under my eyes were gone :) The eraser worked a lot better for my dark circles than the other two put together. Get The Red Out worked great for the redness around my nose. I'm still working with these concealers to figure out what works best for me.For the fun part .. my favorite out of all the products The Eyeshadows!!! All of the sample packs were customized for each eye color. All colors were chosen to make your eye color pop!
This is the Sample Pack for Brown Eyes. Millionare-Coral & Amethyst-Pink Diamonds totally made my brown eyes pop. And I love it when my natural eye color is poppin without the help of contacts.Sample Pack for Green Eyes $5.97
I love Olive and Amethyst .. not together but just as shadows alone. Olive is such a pretty green with a gold undertone and Amethyst is such a pretty fushia color with light pink undertones. I tried Malted on the Lid, Amethyst in the Crease, Russet on the Bottom Lash Line, and Plum on the Outer V to smoke it out just a bit.Sample Pack for Blue Eyes $5.97
I seriously wish that I had Blue Contacts so I could see how these colors looked. I liked how they looked on my brown eyes. I tried out Copper Shimmer on my lid, Dark Copper in my Crease, I defined my Outer V with Dark Chocolate, and then I lined my bottom lash line with Denim. It came out so pretty!Sample Pack for Hazel Eyes $5.97
All of these colors look so great together. My sister has a mix of green and hazel eyes. The day her Hazel eyes were poppin .. I decided to try out 24 Karat in the tear duct area, Sahara on the lid, and Medallion in the Crease... and her eyes looked gorgeous. I popped some falsies on her eyes and it was a done deal. For those of you who love bright shadows, like me! hehe .. are going to love this little set. I applied these dry over Urban Decay Primer Potion. Aren't they pretty??? On another day I had applied them wet, and they were FREAKIN AWESOME! WHOA .. is all I gotta say about this little set. Get em now!!!
Sample Pack Blushes: Pink and Rose Collection
Blossom gave me a natural rosey cheek, which I really really liked. Petal Pink, Pomegranate, and Rhubarb look better on me as highlights than Blush. Petal Pink gave off the best glow out of the 3. I think these would look a lot better on someone that had fair skin.Sample Pack Blushes: Brown and Berry Collection
Overall these blushes showed up very well on my skin. You can definitely go light for a natural cheek or heavy for a dramatic night out. Terra Cotta and Summers Glow were my faves out of this batch.
So overall everyone, this was a great line. I absolutely loved everything from it. From packaging to their products. For those of you who are just venturing out into mineral makeup, you will not be let down with any of these samples. $5.97 for each sample pack isn't bad and the samples will last you a long time, trust me. EG Minerals

I had the chance to try out a couple things from EG Minerals Gem Collection from their Platinum Collection. And all I got to say about this collection is wow. These shadow are soooooo pretty. These are my far my favorite shadows form them. They are ALL .. and I mean ALL super super pigmented and are so easy to blend. All swatches below were applied dry over Urban Decay's Primer Potion. Can you imagine what they would look like applied wet? They would look super pigmented! Sample Bags cost $1, Sample Jars cost $1.75, and Full Jars cost $7. I have no idea why this picture uploaded sideways like this .. ??? Which ones do you think look gorgeous?I give 10/10 on their lipglosses. The formula for these glosses are so much better than the ones that I tried last December. The consistency is perfect: not too runny, not too sticky. They are lightly flavored and smell yummy. My man loves doesn't mind getting these glosses on him. lol.
Glosses cost $9 each (a little too pricey for my liking)Now these are a couple fo the Gem Blushes. These three are very very very light. I would prefer these as highlight powders than blushes. These actually remind me of MAC's MSFs. Maybe the other blushes in the collection have color .. ???
Sample in a bag cost $1, Sample in a jar cost $1.75, Full sized jar cost $8.50Correction & Camoflage Powders. There are 7 different ones, but I got to try out 2 of them. The Apricot one totally helped the dark circles under my eyes disappear. I applied it before applying my foundation. It was so easy to blend it into my foundation. The Yellow one worked a lot better on my sister in law than it did on me. That might be because my sister is white. She had some purple under eye cirles going on, and it totally covered them up. The yellow one made my circles look a little grey.

I actually really like this thing. It is a Cream to Powder Palette for the Face. From top to bottom, left to right: Concealer, Concealer, Highlight, Blush, Foundation, Foundation, Contour, Blush
I do not recommend using any brushes to apply this. Sponges work good, but me personally my fingers work the best. The concealer and foundation coverage is actually pretty good. I didn't think it was going to give me the coverage that I wanted, but it surprised me. The highlight and contour colors are the perfect color. You can definitely control how dark the contour can be. The blushes are super natural/glowy looking. Perfect for the winter time. Again, I suggest using your fingers with this one.

Alima Pure

This is a mineral makeup line that does not have fillers, additives, or fragrances in their products. They are all about making natural products that don't irritate your skin.
This is definitely a line for those who do not like bold and bright colors. Because I'm one who loves color, this line wasn't for me. This is a line for those of you who like to wear everyday looking makeup and for those of you who like to enhance your natural features. I personally think that this line is great for older women in their 40's and up. I only say that because this is a line that my Mom and Grandma would enjoy. They don't like going heavy on the makeup and it would be perfect for those of you who are like that.

The shadows were a bit sheer for my liking. Again, definitely a line for those of you who enjoy natural looking makeup. I had to really pack on the shadows for it to show. I used Too Faced Shadow Insurance as a base for these swatches. Samples in a jar cost $1 & Full Sized Jars cost $9.
Now to the face stuff. I loved their face products.Tea Rose is the perfect shimmery blush for warm looking cheeks. The shimmer isn't too overpowering and actually gives cheeks a natural glow. Raspberry is a light matte pink, which I think would look better on fair skin than my tan skin. Blush Samples go for $1 and $15 for full sized. Lumina Shimmer Powder is the perfect highlight powder. I actually like it better than the highlight color in my MAC Sculpt & Shape. It also looks super pretty when mixed with a clear gloss for the lips. Both foundations were a dark for my skin tone, but I did try out Olive 4 Foundation just to see how it would feel on my face. For those of you who love mineral foundation, you'll love this stuff. The coverage was good and I felt like I wasn't wearing anything on my face. When I can't feel my face makeup, it's awesome. Foundation samples go for $1 and full sized jars go for $15.So .. my faves: The blushes and Lumina Shimmer Powder.

Zosimos Botanicals

Do you go green? Do you love all natural products? Are you looking for cruelty free makeup? If so, then this is the line for you. Zosimos Botanicals gave me the opportunity to try out a couple of their Green Products. For being an all natural line, I was a little skeptical on how great their products would be. Most "all natural" "go green" lines that I have tried weren't that good. But that wasn't the case with this one. I got to try out their samples: mini pinch shadows and mini pinch blushes. And when they say MINI .. they really mean mini. Each shadow came cased in a tiny spin off top container, in a tiny baggie with a tiny sponge tip applicator. I personally didn't like the sponge tip applicators.

There is enough shadow in the sample jars for 10-15 applications. Some of the shadows weren't completely mixed all the way, so I took a little scooper and mixed it up. As you can see below, Silverbelle and Moss look darker in the inside of the swatch than it does on the outside. It actually doesn't look like that when you apply it to your eyes. Silverbelle looks more of a Metallic Silver and Moss is a gorgeous Emerald Green. They both are great for Smokey Eyes. Cobalt also looks a lot brighter than in the picture. The overall pigmentation of these shadows were OKAY. I have seen better, but they're good for an all natural line. The two brushes that I got to try out were nice. They were super soft and picked up the loose mineral shadows with ease. The round contour brush is great for applying depth in the crease and blending out shadows. The mini contour brush is great for smudging or applying liner, as well as applying color to the bottom lash line.Their eyeshadow sticks are like NYX Jumbo Pencils, but more creamier. You only need a little or else it can cause creasing on your lids. These sticks were very pigmented (definitely more pigmented than ELF Creme Shadows) and were great as bases.These mini glosses were so tiny. Seriously, smaller than my pinkie finger everyone. It comes with a little sponge tip applicator and they smell yummy. They're cute to carry around in your purse. The consistency of the formula was thin and not sticky. I enjoy glosses that don't make my lips stick together. lol.The Primer Prep comes in different shades. I really enjoyed this product. This primer not only made my skin feel super soft and moisturized, but it made my skin feel refreshed like MAC Fix+ & Evian Spray. It does help concealer and foundation glide on with ease. And also makes the surface of my skin appear smoother. The mini pinch of foundation is probably enough for 5 applications. This foundation had a slight glow to it, which I personally love, especially since it's going to be winter soon. For those of you who love matte foundation, this probably wont be the foundation for you.Their blushes come in these baggies, again mini pinched size. There is enough in there for a couple applications. Maple and Orchid on my skintone make great highlight colors for the cheekbones. They kind of remind me of MAC mineralized skin finishes. So overall, I enjoyed this company's products. I'M NOT JUST SAYING THAT BECAUSE I GOT IT FOR FREE, but because they were actually pretty good for being an all natural line. Other natural lines that I've messed around with were not as pigmented as this company. Here are My faves: the eyeshadow sticks, the blushes, primer prep, and foundation.

Glamour Doll Eyes

So many of you probably already know about Glamour Doll Eyes. Vanessa, owner of Glamour Doll Eyes was kind enough to sponsor her line as prizes for a contest that I had a while back. I had the opportunity to try out 6 shadows from her line. Now I probably just picked the wrong batch of shadows guys, but the majority of the ones I tried out, I didn't really like.

What is good about these shadows are the prices. They are super affordable for those of you who are on a budget like myself. The sample bags are awesome to get because it lets you try out the product. This will help you guys decide whether or not you want a full sized jar or not. Samples will last you a long time girls.

I really like this one. The color is very unique. There are tiny specks of green glitter but it's barely noticeable.

This one looks gorgeous wet & dry.

UFO
Matte Black Shadow w/Silver Hologram Glitter

This one is okay.
This one must be applied wet for the color and glitter to even show. The glitter is in tiny specks so don't worry about it being too chunky.

GALAXY
Matte Black w/Purple Glitter

This one is okay too.
Again, this one must be applied wet for the color and glitter to even show. This glitter is also in tiny specks.

SHOW OFF
Coppery Brown

I love this one.
This one looks so pretty dry and wet.
Can be used as everyday natural makeup or dramatic with a nice black shadow to smoke it out.

OLIVIA GREEN
Matte Swampy Looking Green

This one is okay.
It would look great with matte yellows.
It looks good wet and dry.
But it's a little hard to work with as far as blending it with other colors.

I haven't done a tutorial using these shadows because the matte ones in particular were difficult to work with. I really liked Show Off and Dinospotz .. maybe I'll just do a tutorial using those two. What do you think?

Thanks to BeautyShopOC.com, I was able to mess around with 4 of the NEW NYX Runway Palettes. They are designed the same as the "For Your Own Eyes" Palettes: with 10 shadows, a sponge tip applicator, black portable compact case, and a large mirror.

You can purchase each palette for $6.75! BeautyShopOC.com is the only site that is selling these brand new palettes for this cheap! All the shadows are greatly pigmented, but there are a few that have specks of glitter in it, making the shadow harder to pack on. NYX also has made it easy to identify which palettes carry what colors by putting the colors along the top of the packaging.

NYX's For Your Eyes Only Collection

NYX's Milk Jumbo Pencil was used as a base for all swatches. All of these palettes can be used as a day to night palette. It's perfect for those of you who are always on the go. All Shadows are soft, creamy, pack on well, and are easy to blend. There are a few shadows that have specks of glitter in it, which take a little longer to pack on. But other than that, I LOVE IT! NYX did a great job on the new compacts. The mirrors are very large, but I think it would be better if they came with a little brush rather than the sponge tip applicators. This is the nicest I've ever seen NYX package their products. On the back of the Smokey Eye Palette, it gives instructions how to do a smokey eye, which I think is cool.

Okay .. so about a month ago the co-owner of EG Minerals got a hold of me on youtube. She wanted me to check out her website and wanted me to pick stuff out that I would be willing to try out. I was trippin out! I mean .. she wanted to send ME free products!!!!! I thought that was so awesome!!!!! My Halloween Makeup

I know I know .. it's hella late!?! Better late than never right? After the Jabbawockeez killed it on America's Best Dance Crew .. Jay and I knew we wanted to be Jabbawockeez for Halloween. All the Halloween stores were sold out of those masks! It was crazy!! I swear we went looking for them every weekend the whole month of October. We ended up having to order ours online. Which ended up being a good thing, because they had girl masks. The girl masks are a little slimmer than the boy ones. I had fun dressing up. I haven't dressed up in years for Halloween!!! But Man .. after wearing those masks for a while, I had to take mine off. Me breathing in the mask was startin to make me sweat, and I didn't wanna jack up my makeup. LOL. I dunno how the Jabbawockeez do it while they be dancing , BUT THEY DO IT!?! hahaha

So I didn't do a tutorial for this makeup since I had my hands full with the boys. So I'll break it down for ya. The Lid and Bottom Lash Line I used Ben Nye's Royal Purple. Right outside Royal Purple, I blended in Ben Nye's Amethyst. Above that I blended Ben Nye's Sun Yellow and Aztec Gold together up to the brow bone. And then highlighted it with NYX's Aloha. On my Temples besides my eyes I blended Ben Nye's Sun Yellow & Aztec Gold. And then I used Jesse's Girl Eyelite with glitter all over the eyes, temples, and cheek bones. Loreal HIP Creme Liner in Black LIKE ALWAYS!!! and Red Cherry Lashes in #1. Those were my favorite lashes and Nate got into em and ripped em apart... ahhh .. it was a sad day for me. LOL

Alright .. i'm definitely goin to put some time aside this weekend to update this blog. I looked at my blog and thought to myself "Dayyyyyyyyyam .. i haven't been on here for days!!!!!!" So I'll be posting new stuff: FOTD's, Contest Entry's from youtube, EG Minerals Review, etc. I also got tagged by a couple of you so I'll be doing those tags as well. I'm still tryin to figure out this whole blog thing so bare with me everyone :D

Have ya'll been watchin Blush??? I LOVVVVVVVE THAT SHOW!?! But!!! I think they could've picked other makeup artists with more to show. I feel totally inspired by some and not inspired at all by others. I know Maxi is a pain in the ass .. but he is my favorite artist out of all of them. LOL.

Halloween Masks .. I KNOW IT'S HELLA LATE .. LOL

So my girl Kristina back home in Tha Bay asked me to do a Catwoman Makeup Tutorial for her Halloween Costume. And of course, I said yes!?! So when we talked about what she wanted in the mask, she had said she wanted me to use eyeshadow for the mask and some rhinestones. After researching online what Catwoman masks looked like I decided that I was going to do two different masks. One classic lookin kind of mask and another one with rhinestones all over it. I was kinda nervous doing these tutorials since it was my first time making masks!?! But, it was hella fun makin them. So the 1st tutorial that I did was inspired by Michelle Pfeiffer from the Batman Movie. I think if I wouldn't have rushed it probably would've turned out better. I should've made the edges more cleaner, ya know??

The 2nd one I ended up calling "Catwoman Mask Gone Bad." This was the one where I was going to include the rhinestones. And I ended up getting carried away after the red smokey eye and glitter. LOL. I swear this ended up looking like a Christmas Masquerade Looking Mask. LOL. Oh well, it still came out cute!!!

You know ... That's what I love about makeup .. you can plan for it to look a certain way, but it isn't until you pick up your brush and start painting away. And then you create something unexpected and beautiful :D

So my girl Evelyn is hosting her first contest on youtube. And the theme for her contest was to create your "Alter Ego". Only rule she had was to wear some fake lashes. Nate had gone through my makeup the other month and got into my pigments and lashes. I couldn't save a lot of the things he got into, so out of all the lashes I had, only 2 survived. LOL. My Red Cherry Lashes & some crazy green ones that I got for a Dollar at Walmart last Halloween were the only ones that made it. I figured I might as well put them green ones to use. I believe that we all have a dark, dirty, bad person inside of us and I thought I'd bring that out. LOL. I actually think I look hella sexy with this look .. hahaha .. i know I sound conceited .. but i think i look hot! LOL .. Be sure to check it out on youtube and let me know how you like it!?!

Fall Inspired Look

Wassup all my gorgeous girls and boys!?! So the other day I had originally did a contest entry for youtuber acquiangel. The theme when I did the look was "self expression". Meaning you picked your eyeshadow colors based on yourself. For example, I chose yellow, orange, red, and brown. Yellow because I'm a very happy person, Orange because I'm super energetic, red cause I'm very loving and passionate in everything I do, and brown cause I'm brown. I'M JUST PLAYIN .. LOL. I chose brown cause I kinda have OCD and I have to be organized with everything. It's not super OCD, just minor. LOL. So yea ... I went to check her video to make sure I followed all her rules so I could post my contest entry on her youtube .. and she changed the theme of the contest. I was like "DAYAM! I JUST DID THIS LOOK FOR NUTHIN!" .. but then i was like oh what the hell .. i might as well just post it as a Fall Tutorial :) So don't forget to check that tutorial out ya'll!

Speaking of Fall .. it's so freakin pretty out here in VA right now .. I always love this time of year cause the trees change color .. we don't get pretty trees like this back in Cali .. this will probably be one of the things that I miss about the East Coast .. LOL

So I debated for a long time whether or not I should make one of these blogs .. I didn't know how much work it would take or how I would set up my page .. but I gave in after so many friends requests on Myspace.

For those of you who haven't seen my myspace video on youtube ...
I DO NOT ADD PEOPLE ONTO MY MYSPACE THAT I DON'T KNOW GUYS! So if I denied your requests .. SORRY ... but I had some fake ass beezy up on my myspace talkin shit and stealin my pictures and tryin to claim 'em ass her own .. You KNOW WHO U BE BEEZY!?! It's okay though .. I love you .. I really do ... LOL

So yea .. since I didn't wanna add ya'll to my myspace .. I figured oh what the hell .. i might as well make a blogspot so they could interact with me there ... so I'M HERE ON BLOGSPOT YA'LL!?! I'm excited to be startin another chapter with my makeup. I've met so many cool ass people on youtube and myspace from the makeup communities, so if you're a makeup lover .. holla at me and subscribe to my channel cuz i'm sure you'll like what you see!?!
